Seems as though Jerry Rice has taken a liking to this guy as well. Way to represent Detroit on the national spotlight- although I have no idea how popular this show was. The only reason I even heard about it was because of this forum! I wish the guy the best of luck though. I've always thought that the best thing that Americans have to offer is our entrepeneurial spirit. It's not the fact that we build things any better (look at how well OUR inventions are being built overseas now) but it's our inventiveness that sets us apart from the world. |

With our luck, our lackluster Lions will wear them backwards and have the QBs hit all of our receivers in the back. Sigh... months away and I'm already bashing the Honolulu Blue, Silver & touch of black. |

https://www.atdetroit.net/forum/mes sages/5/71000.html?1147570415 This is exactly how to positively represent Detroit on a national level. Erik Thompson didn't take the grand prize, but he showed class and determination. His mentor, Ed Evangelista, repeatedly praised his persistence and his working-class tenacity - and that Erik is not a factory worker - he is an Inventor ! We wish Erik the best in the days ahead, with his product, his loving family and his gym on E. Warren. |

I think I might join the gym. He certainly deserves recognition for his hard work, and representing our city with class. |
