I had the honor of attending the Michigan Walk of Fame induction ceremony last night. It was very nice indeed. Helen Thomas, Henry Ford, Stevie Wonder, Thomas Edison, Jeff Daniels were among the greats inducted. Helen Thomas, Stevie Wonder, and Jeff Daniels actually made appearances.

Stevie Wonder performed on the piano for about a half an hour. Helen Thomas gave a press conference and took a lot of good questions. I must admit that Lansing’s mayor is a tacky individual. Comes off as phony and seems to rub people the wrong way.

I didn’t get to see much of Jeff Daniels. He seemed to be in and out within an hour. Some of the media folks come as clueless especially photographers where it is just another gig for them.

I wanted to go, but when I found out tickets were $60 for one person, that killed it.

Yeah, Mayor Virg Bernero is an odd little fellow. I voted for him last year (as he was much more competent than the other candidate), but he comes off as very arrogant, and the man can talk a mile-a-minute, a typical politician, which is something Lansing has had since the 1980's.
