If the Pistons are going to get called for a foul everytime they look at Miami crossways then dammit make it a real foul. Put that Wade guy on his can a few times and maybe he'll think twice before sashaying through the paint again. Basically, if you want to call fouls, we'll show you what they really look like. |

I agree with you completely pacy, the pistons look like a bunch of little girls out there letting those guys get inside dunks all the time. I know the flagrant foul calls are way up in the last 5 years and they call them for the softest fouls, but at some point you gotta let dwade and everyone else know that they cant just come down the lane any time they want. Billy and Mahorn sure as hell wouldnt let this crap go on. |

Let's not lose focus here. Yes, the calls do seem to be a bit lopsided. Yet the Pistons are playing like shit, have been since early in the Cavs series. If this is the way they are going to play then there is no sense in going to the finals, as both teams out west would sweep this team. If they bow out I expect BOTH Wallaces to be gone. One can't make free throw when we need them most, the other can't play consistently when needed most. Antonio McDyess will fill one spot and we'll have to find another starter out there for the other spot. Joe D does what has to be done, and if this is how this team wants to end the season then they will not be the same team playing next year. This team makes me sick. I'm just thankful we have the Tigers at this point. |

I agree with Supersport in regards to the performance lately. Back in late March, we were rooting for the Red Wings and the Pistons to go all the way for a double-parade. Well, the Wings didn't do what they needed to do. Now, we have the Pistons playing like a JV team. None of the starters could consistently shoot into the basket, none of the starters could consistently drive the lane efficiently. And if that is not bad enough, the cornerstone of this team - DEFENSE - isn't even up to par. Perhaps we need to look ahead to the unlikely Tigers or Lions to bring back the hardware. |

It might as well be. Say they do the unthinkable and push the series to 7. Then what? Get swept out west because they're FINALLY, FINALLY TOTALLY out of energy? Prove me wrong boys, but I say we're not winning the title this year. |

The Pistons have been playing as if they shouldn't have to work to get to the championship. If that's there attitude, than they don't need to win, and won't. This is coming from a Pistons fan that hates nothing more than to see a high-caliber team play poorly. |

Game 1: MIA-21 Personal fouls DET-17 Personal fouls Game 2: MIA-24 Personal fouls DET-25 Personal fouls Game 3: MIA-26 Personal fouls DET-23 Personal fouls Game 4: MIA-19 Personal fouls DET-30 Personal fouls Outside of game 4 the fouls haven't been lopsided at all. Not to mention that there is no edict that each team must have an even number of fouls in every game. Officiating generally tends to favor the aggressor. The Pistons aren't losing because of officiating, they're losing because they're being outplayed by a hungrier team. |

I tend to agree with Meadows. Anyway, a team as good as the Pistons have been, they should be able to overcome poor officiating. later - naturalsister |

One thing that I loved about the Pistons was the fact that they never talked about what needed to be done, they just did it. Now these Pistons are looking and sounding much like the Lions |

Let's just face it. Flip saunders is being outcoached by Riley. The Pistons are not playing the team ball that they played to make it this far. Their frustration is showing and IO am sure communications are breaking down in the locker room as well. Ben Wallace sure picked a good time to play sappy. I say Ben Wallace to the Bulls next season. Joe will start building the team of tomorrow. 2009 NBA championship will definitely be ours. I say they will, however win game 5 and losing by less than 5 in Miami in game 6 |

The disappointment with this year's team is really in the fact that they didn't win the title last year like they should have. If the Pistons had been two-time champs and were in the position they're in now, we wouldn't be so upset because we would all be in agreement that it's hard to three-peat and that they had a good run. This year we just assumed that they'd get back to the finals and win it. However, this is the third year in the Pistons' title-run. It's not unusual for two-time champs not to win that third championship in a row. How that Orry shot changed everything. |

Laimbeer and Mahorn wouldn't have had this 'Miami Rules the Paint S**T' as Bad Boys or as Coach and Asst. Coach. Here, here to whoever mentioned that on the other Pistons thread. later - naturalsister |

The best part of Game 4 was watching Dale Davis knock Dwyane Wade on his ass. Too bad no one else would do it. |
