Just wondering what everybody thought about the Pistons game tonight in Miami. I think Detroit can pull it out behind a big game from Tayshaun and Rasheed. I say Detroit by 7 in a thriller!! DEEETROIT BASKETBAAALL!!! Lexdetroitman_07 |

Why does there always have to be a prediction? Dont we get enough of that in the media? Let's just sit back and enjoy the show. Every major pundit from Daddy Rich to Charles Barkley say we got no chance tonight, I have great hope they are all proven wrong. Is anybody else sick of this cliched DEEETROIT BASKETBAAALL that is screamed every 2 minutes at the bar? It reached its peak during the parade in 04...now its like we are all fat and stupid fans. Win or lose, I am very appreciative to this organization for giving us great entertainment every spring since 02. |

Miami pulls away in the final 5 minutes to win by 15... (Not really, i just say/think this way because everytime I do I'm proven wrong, so hopefully it works tonight) |

Eastside, I agree with you. It's good to see a winning and enjoyable sports franchise and organization achieve sustained success for Detroit. It's good not only for the fans, but for the morale of the city, too. I do, however feel that in situations where Detroit has their backs against the wall and everybody counting them out is where they do the best. They seem to thrive under pressure and enjoy proving people wrong. I sure hope they can do it at least two more times this series. Look forward to a GREAT game tonight in South Beach!! GO PISTONS!! Tigers 6-4. Oh, you were wondering about the Pistons? They'll win by 4 and we'll have a very interesting game on Sunday. It'll be tough splitting time between the 'Stons and another interesting Tiger game. |

Lexdet, pretty sure nothing for this series is national. If the Tigers played Saturday afternoon games (which they do not, at home), the game could probably be on the national Fox broadcast. re: the Pistons...I am pretty confident they'll win if they repeat the other night's adequate performance. Miami just doesn't seem too intimidating. I'm sure our guys can focus. |

Mackinaw, I do believe that Miami will come out a little bit stronger and hungrier tonight, but you're right..if Detroit plays with the same aggression and intensity as they did on Wednesday night, perhaps with a little higher FG %, they can blow it open and silence the home crowd. Thanks for the Tigers info, I will check my local TV listings and try to find them, if not, I will try to get updates from you guys..Thanks!! Lexdetroitman_07 |

Hope I did not break your heart sister. I did not quote anybody as saying the stons have no chance. Daddy Rich said in a radio interview "Miami is just hitting their stride and are entering a realm in which they have not been all year" He then said Miami would win in 6...same as Laimbeer had predicted. Like you, I have great hope...but I have no greater esteem for basketball knowledge than Daddy or Beer. |

Nobody respects the Pistons...all we've accomplished and we get overshadowed by Blubberbutt Shaq and Showoff Wade. They have no team spirit, all Miami cares about is getting the title. Detroit cares about teamwork, having fun playing basketball and working together to achieve ultimate success. That's what separates these two teams and I think this will ultimately lead to Miami's downfall in Game 7 at the Palace!! Lexdetroitman_07 |

So much depends on how the refs call the game early. If the Pistons can hit a decent % of shots and stay out of foul trouble, I think they can shock Miami. I hope they work the ball inside and not rely too much on long bombs. My heart says "yes" but my head says "No way". |

I'm not sure if I buy into all this...I think this is just a ploy to get Detroit off their guard so Miami can get an edge. Detroit is too experienced and too veteran of a ballclub to fall for this. Give em' Hell Detroit!! Show 'em what The Motor City is made of!! Lexdetroitman_07 |

Ah schit, why do they have to announce that Wade is ill? Can't the NBA ever just let the game be the drama? I'm warning all Piston's fans......."do not watch tonight's game with volume". The announcers will make D. Wade's effort sound like a miracle from God. I'm not kidding.... |

Before I can make an informed prediction about tonight's game I need some more information. Does anyone know if Chitaku will be in Miami at the game yelling like a loud nutjob or will the Pistons be on their own? |

Get used to it PISTONS LOST, They can't beat the HEAT. They have a goliath size Shaq, they take the ball out of Dwayne Wade's hands. It's always next year. |

The Pistons lost becuase the Heat used a defensive zone stategy called the " Paint Trap " It's simple. When the ball is past to one of the best players then to players ot three players will come in to cover the defense. Then the offensive player will have no other choice to either shoot the ball outside (otherwords) make a jump shot, or pass the ball to an outshooter and try to make a 3 point shot. The HEAT used the " Paint Trap" only when the playoff season get's into full gear and it worked well. They ONLY way to prevent the "Paint Trap" to happen is to make many fast breaks a possible. In which is not going to happen. So The HEAT won, they are going on the NBA finals against either Dallas or the Suns. All thanks to SHAQ and WADE. (Message edited by danny on June 03, 2006) |
