It's mainly in the CBD and Midtown I have noticed. Went out for a blade today and saw 3 cars between New Center and Downtown |

You bladed all the way from Downtown to New Center? That's quite a ways. Steelworker is correct, the state offices are in the Old GM building in new center. However, it's rare to see them on any street other than Milwaukee or Grand Blvd. |

In the past week I have seen officers on Trumbull, brush, woodward, mack and Grand River, along with the office area. I don't mind em as long as they leave the common folk alone. |

they might start enforcing laws, which will come as quite a suprise to the locals accustomed to the "look the other way" MO of the DPD--just wait for the shitstorm to erupt over that! |

Good. About time. An increased police presence is needed in Detroit. Dont complain about a $65 ticket for seat belts as the State does need the money. It saves lives, and it is a law everywhere in the US. |

I had surgery on my shoulder... the strap impairs my driving.. BUT anyway... yes i have noticed them quite a bit more. Trust me, they will never get their hands dirty into some actual crime... just people minding their own business on the road... Solving crime doesnt produce revenue... and may actually cost cops their jobs... |

Where are they on I-75 Friday nights when the bars close? It's the most dangerous ride this side of Cedar Point. When I see one, it's usually on the little strip of land where 75 feeds into 696. Big ol' SUV with a sleeping cop in it. btw, is that what we're going to hear for the next couple of months? When a law is enforced, "Jenny needs the money". Oh yikes. |

Yeah, they shoot and kill homeless people in front of the Detroiter bar. Sorry, I still can't get over taking the life of a bum with his pants on his ankles. |

Same here. They seem to have more presence on suburban highways. Even so, 696 and 75 in Oakland are still madhouses I hate traveling. |

I take I-94 from SCS to Dearborn and back... about 3 times weekly. They started showing up again (after a 1 or 1 1/2 year hiatus) and have been giving out tickets along the freeway stretch in Detroit and in the burbs. |
