I notice there's another "They're tearing down the old ball yard--wail, wail" thread running. We went through something like this up here in the northleft corner when The Kingdome was built with the obligatory "What do we do with Sick's Seattle Stadium, a piece of our history--wail, wail" period. The problem up here was no one could find a decent use for a run down, outmoded 35,000 seat stadium. Is there or has there ever been a REALISTIC, PRACTICAL and RESONABLY SELF SUPPORTING plan for the preservation of Tiger Stadium, or do the basic plan of attack by preservation proponents consist of letting the stadium sit there and rot? |

Don't know. I asked for something I hadn't seen on the other Tiger Stadium threads. Realistic, Practical and Resonably Self Supporting. |

Douglasm, I personally like the plan that will happen over ANY planned reuse of the stadium. |

I prefer an abandoned stadium to yet ANOTHER vacant lot. |

I'd just like to point out that Tiger Stadium has a capacity of over 52,000 carry on... |
