Hogg PUBLISHED: November 2, 2005 Duane Walter Hogg, 72, of White Lake Township, died Saturday, Oct. 29, 2005, at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit. He was born March 8, 1933, in Calumet. Mr. Hogg was a teacher in Almont from 1958-61 and at Utica High School from 1961-90. After retirement, he continued as head timer for the Utica track team, was an elected member of the White Lake Township Library Board, an election official and an instructor and supervisor for the Macomb County Science Olympiad. He was a lifelong fan of the Green Bay Packers. A graduate of Hancock Central High School, he earned bachelor's and master's degrees from Northern Michigan University. He married Beverly J. Trombley on June 24, 1967. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Beverly J. Hogg (nee Trombley); sons, Jeff (Jill) Hogg of Anthem, Ariz. and David Hogg of Pontiac; and half-brother, Walt (April) Lindala of Marquette. He was predeceased by his father, Walter Lindala; mother, Elma Hogg; and adoptive father, John Hogg. A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday at Wm. Sullivan and Son Funeral Home, 8459 Hall Road (three blocks east of Van Dyke), Utica. Memorial gathering will be 3-6 p.m. Thursday.
