He Needs to go, as of 6 years ago why can't he just let corktown have what it wants and what makes sense to planners, citizens, and preservationist alike. Each day I am amazed at the amount of people who come down to snap pictures. If the field is preserved it may just transfer to a viable business district along Michigan ave which is already well on its way! Detroit needs to start a history of preservation and end the culture of Demolition that has plagued this city for far to long! | ||

Urban...when you say "let corktown have what it wants...." are you implying that there's a viable business plan with financial backing? I don't think anyone would prefer demolition to preservation as long as there's a business case for preservation, but maybe I'm just wrong about that. What proposals are you implying that the administration rejected? My ranking: (1) Preservation (2) Demolition (3) Old, vacant, decrepit structures.
