Why on earth is this taking so long?

Perhaps the Economic Turmoil is taking away or actually closed the investigation? Perhaps somebody upstairs thinks that having KK gone is good enough for Detroit? Letting KK and his goon squad off the hook is reminiscent of how the CEO's walked off with all the taxpayers money over the past few years. Just when I thought the citizens voice was being heard, everything dries up.

I'm impatient, too. However, in order to do this right, the FEDS need time to build a case.

About a week ago, a niggling little thought crept into my head--perhaps the FEDS were waiting until after the election in order for some of the folks in office whose re-election might be impacted by an indictment could win their races.

I also know how mistrusting that sounds, but after all we've been through...

According to John Bennett, his sources indicate that 7 indictments on the sludge deal will be coming within a week to 10 days after the election. The 7 names prominently mentioned are:

Kwame Kilpatrick
Bernard Kilpatrick
Monica Conyers
a Cockrel (which one is in question)
John Clark, (Ken Cockrel's former Chief of Staff)
Rayford Jackson
Christine Beatty

Per John, this is just the first round in a series of anticipated indictments.
