J. Geils Band is from Boston, I don't care if they adopted Detroit as a second home because they were popular here if we are going by that My favorite song by a Detroit band is "Here Comes the Sun" by The Beatles.

The Ramones are you Friggen kidding me.

Stop stealing bands that are not from Detroit.

Grand Funk is Flint, ? is from Flint (and now lives in Clio) and the Mysterians formed in Bay City. This is by far my biggest pet peeve, just because they are from Michigan does not make them Detroit. Don't Steal Flint's thunder.

Sock It To Me Baby - Mitch Ryder
Search & Destroy - Iggy Pop

Places like California have songs like " I wish they all could be California Girls" Or hot and vibrant Miami have songs like "Miami" by Will Smith. Cool beats and dance music expressing the greatness of their locales. Then here in Gritty real Detroit we have a song like this!!!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v =gVslLWZYXOw&feature=related

NO THIS IS NOT MY FAVORITE Detroit SONG I just find it funny to show the gritty realism of Detroit or how it just backs up outsiders views!

If i remember correctly, they were here so often back then they might as well have been, and didn't Jamie James play with Seger in the early 70s?

Rb336, you and Ggores are right in my book. The King Bees were a lot bigger in the Detroit Area than they were anywhere else. If I remember, they did a ton of shows in Ann Arbor. I had to take my old King Bees album and convert it to MP3s and no one here in AZ, no matter where they came from ever heard of them. Zrx_doug gave me a laugh because I was going to put Adrenaline on here as a joke, but he beat me to the punch.
