Please do not misunderstand me and make me out to sound pretentious. But I am wondering what the average income of readers on this forum are. Are many of you young and wanting to escape suburbia, or have you grown up in Detroit and always loved living in the city? What is your average age? Basically, what is the demographic of this board? Can we have a survey?

I am a 49 year old male living in Austin, Texas. I lived in Detroit from 1973 to 1975 while attending Wayne State University, then moved to Kalamazoo for a few years. I moved back to Detroit in 1978 and lived there until 1980 and then moved to Texas. My income is in the $50,000 per year range, and I am employed as an Accountant with the state of Texas. I return to the city once or twice a year to see friends and family, and may eventually move back. My plans for retirement are to live in Detroit from May to November, and live in my house in Texas during the winter.

I am an 18 year old male Pre-med student. I am building a condo in the crosswinds complex and will move in end of May. I Plan on living down town for the next 12 years for sure. When I graduate from med school, if Detroit hasn’t developed enough to have a successful Psychiatry practice, I plan on moving to Chicago. However, if Detroit has, then I will live down town indefinitely. I would love to own a high-rise penthouse one day, maybe in a newly built sky scraper? I make nothing, seeing as I am a student, but my parents supply me with money for my living expenses. (I know that sounds annoying, but if your parents gave you the same opportunity, would you turn it down?)

I thought about asking these questions a while back, nice post...
I am a 28 year old Italian male living in Romeo Michigan. ONe of my first jobs was with one of the top designers in the country,in the corporate offices of a popular, and large furniture chain, where I fell in love with architecture, old buildings and design. He retired I moved on to build Bars and nightclubs for a nightclub group out of Ohio. After doing a project in Novi a couple years ago, I went on to work for a popular developer of lofts in the city currently and was a stand in site manager, where I learned specifics on historical renovations ..... you all probably know him, but dont want to name names of my past empolyers....
And now finnaly, as that project has winded down and I have moved on again, look for a new Entertainment Venue/ Night Club across from Compuware in the 1001 Woodward, Charter one Building, (my new Project)...Stop in and say hi....

I'm 18, I'll be heading to UM next year, but after my time there I plan on moving to the city. I hope to live in the CBD in hopefully a newly renovated historic building that's undergone a loft conversion (paging Higgins on the Broderick...), but if not, probably a smaller home somewhere, maybe a Crosswinds condo, I don't know. Anyway, I'm thinking about maybe becoming a high school history teacher, so maybe I'll teach in the city as well.

Male, 25, unemployed college student currently living at home with mom in Swartz Creek (near Flint).

I grew up all over this fair stat of ours, from being born in Flint, then moving to Flushing, then to Montrose, then to Rogers City (way up north between Alpena and Cheboygan), then back to Montrose to gradute from high school in 1996, then I moved to Durand and finally I moved to Swartz Creek. During my stay in Durand I got an Associates Degree in Drafting and Design Technology from Baker College of Owosso, which is now useless to me as I am going for my Bacelors Degree in Clinical/Community Psychology.

I plan on going to get my Phd in Clinical Psychology at Wayne State after I graduate from U of M-Flint after th winter 2005 semester (if everything falls into place). Hopefully I will get enough loans and scholarships to allow mw to live on campus or pehaps off-campus downtown. We'll see.

Huh? I am not a bum, I'm a jerk. I once had wealth, power, and the love of a beautiful woman. Now I only have two things. My friends and... uh... my thermos. Huh? My story? O.k. It was never for easy for me. I was born a poor black child. I remember the days sitting on the porch with my family singing and dancing, down in Mississippi.

Male, 24(.94246575) years old. I live downtown. Moved to Michigan from Indiana last summer, where I did my undergrad.

Prior to that, I lived in Washington DC, where I also lived in an area that was beat to heck but showed promise. (And yes, it came back quite nicely.) Downtown seemed like home, so it was no contest when it came time to pick a place to live.

I don't make a million bucks a year, but I can't complain either - work in IT for one of the big auto behemoths. (And yes, for the record, I am conflicted about that.)

For the record why in the hell would you be conflicted????

I am amused and more than a little disgusted with the sentiment on this forum that the auto companies are some sort of evil entity.Detroit would not be Detroit without the car companies. And so much of the lifestyles that most of us take for granted are a result of the auto industry.Stop trashing the very thing that has made Detroit, Detroit.

I'm a 33 year old husband and father of four. Born an ignorant, entitled Grosse Pointer to a Yooper mom and Lowper dad. Lived in GP until I met my love and relocated to her side of town, Royal Oak.

I make enough money to allow my wife to stay home and raise our children, I have the easy job, and still be home by 5:00pm for dinner every night. I love the city of Detroit, and am very excited by what I see when I go downtown. I will more than likely never live within its borders, but will spend as much time there with my family as possible.

I just got back from the gulf coast and am sporting a great tan, if I say so myself. Forgot for those two weeks about Michigan allergies. Hope to see you all out soon. I'll be the one with the obnoxious runny nose.

I also love Iron Mountain, San Diego, Boston, Seville, Rome, and Prague. Except for a 6-week room rental in Seville I will more than likely never live in those places either.

44 years old. A boat-less Harrison Township resident. Single, no kids...not gay, no surgeries planned. Graduate of Lawrence Tech.....where Delorean and I have set the bar on the partying scale quite "high". I'm making about $75,000 at a local place of higher learning. Grew up in Detroit, on Detroit Street...right next to the Cadieux Cafe. By the way, I was really pissed when I found out you folks went there because I'm sitting on a $30.00 gift certificate I won at a golf outing last year. What the hell, I'll contribute.....

I'm single, 31 years old and own a condo built in 1946 in St. Clair Shores. I do community outreach, resource and referral work for a non-profit agency in Detroit. I make 32,000 per year and also do some office and house cleaning on the side. In case you're wondering, I have a bachelors degree. I drive a 97 purple Ford Escort with about a 100,000 miles so far and hopefully another 50,000 left. As anyone can plainly see, I easilly fit the stereotype of a person who was raised by two educated parents in an upper middle class home in the city of Grosse Pointe Woods. Where's my pile of money so I can go roll naked in it! ;-)

I rented in Detroit for about two years and hope to move back in a few years. I really like my condo, but I'm not wild about the neighborhood. Nobody says "hi," but I'm currently working to change that! :-)

By the way, I have no issue with those who have lots of money, or were raised with lots of money. In fact, I'm downright envious of those with wealth. I would much rather be conflicted over what color to get my hair dyed at a high end salon then to worry about making sure all my bills are paid! If wealth ever comes my way, I will welcome it with open arms!!! :-)

Philosophically I'm a capitalist...I tend to like people who have money. Re-reading Atlas Shrugged as a matter of fact. Flaunting money however suggests insecurities in other areas. And saabdriver has - Christ his name is saabdriver - contributed nothing so far except to tell us he is building a condo in Brush Park, owns a Saab, wants to go to med school. Oh yeah and he watns to know everyone else’s socio-economic background. Born & raised in Bay City, Michigan. Went to school at U-M Ann Arbor and lived in Ann Arbor for another 10 years. Moved to Indian Village 2 years ago on something of a whim... seemed like a more interesting neighborhood than other similarly priced neighborhoods in metro Detroit. More interesting city, too. (Had never heard of Indian Village until a year previous.) Still working in Ann Arbor, hope to work closer to home at some point. Married, currently dual-income/no kids which helps us to afford our house. Mostly lovin' the neighborhood.

You may need to be somewhat wealthy to drive that old of a Saab, believe you me. I had an '89 that practically spontaneously imploded at 125K miles. I had tried to stay ahead of the problems with maintenance but good grief. Parts for Saabs are outrageous. They don't call them Saab stories for nothing.

Maybe I'll post my profile later...

Farrer is right about the expensive Saab parts! Part of the reason we're selling ours.

I'm married to Doug W. I'm 33. We have two greyhounds. I grew up in south Georgia in a town of 100K that reminds me a lot of Detroit. I have a BFA (painting/photography) from a tiny university in Georgia. I lived in Ann Arbor for almost 10 years and had absolutely no ties to U of M. Up until last fall, I was a graphic designer at an ad agency in the suburbs. I was laid off in a round of office politics and am currently doing freelance work when I can get it.

I usually don't care to respond to these types of threads but this one is just soo odd that I feel compelled to boast, criticize and publicize myself.

I'm sort of a 27 yr old yuppie/sell out who used to live in Detroit, then decided to move to Chicago a little over a year ago. I'm in sales for a healthcare software firm in the suburbs and I've been at it for almost a year. I like to roll with the flow, enjoy good company and jump at opportunities when they present themselves (thus one of the reasons for being in Chicago). Will that ever lead me back to Detroit?? Not really sure but I have nothing but fantastic things to say about Detroit, its people and my stint living there (2.5 years).

I am married to a 13-year old ingenue whom I have given the nickname of Lolita to. We live in a house that I bought strictly as an investment in the ghettohood of Harper Woods. I think about the day that we will leave this house often.

I have a job that I hate to the point of causing physical illness. I have a degree that I might as well piss on. It is time for a career change; so beauty school is on the horizon. Working as a nail technician downtown would be most pleasing to me, so job hunting is occuring.

I make not nearly the amount that I wish and do not work in the field that I would like. I am able to pay all my bills on time, except for Detroit parking tickets, I simply wait for amnesty day to pay those.

I actually drive a 2004 Saab 9-3 Sport Sedan. I am at Wayne state as a guest student and moving to my condo in 3 weeks, where I will be a freshman. I misspoke when I said sophomores…i am not ever sure if I am the one who said that. I am not a pretentious brat. I simply wanted to know what kind of people were moving to Detroit and or interested in the city. Don’t hate me just because my dad worked hard for his money and is able to provide a very good life for me.

To all of you who call me a brat and a snob… I never meant to sound like that. This is how I talk with people I know and my friends. It’s not uncommon to talk about your car or housing situation is college…the only difference is mine cost more. So before you judge me please take a step back and learn a thing or two about perspective. Take a second to see where i am coming from. I have worked hard my life, trust me, my dad would not be buying me a condo if I flunked high school instead of entering the pre-med program.

Crew – I’ll be your sugar-twink any day. HA HA!

I actually love my job (the day job, not the cleaning job), but it comes with the promise of a lower income and a raise about every five years. No matter what we choose in life, there are usually some sacrifices to be made.

I'd rather be a hair stylist than a nail tech. To me, a good stylist is a true artist. :-)

tcc, for your answer, see what Blondy said. However, for a variety of reasons, I believe the rate of soul attrition in my particular situation is approaching alarming levels. That may well have more to do with me and my own personal shortcomings than with my employer.

Anyway - for a right out of college job, and a point from which to plan a next move, it's hard to complain. My mantra for the year: Must not get stuck here.

I grew up in low income working class neighborhoods around the city and spent my nights in rap competitions, mainly to avoid my drug addicted mother. I have a young daughter who is everything to me, more than all my fame and bling could ever mean. I divorced my wife and now she is a fugitive from the law. Good riddance, I say. I did have some legal problems of my own, one incident involving the brandishing of a firearm at some rival rappers, but that's all behind me now. Nobody listens to those Faygo spraying fools anyway.

I think part of the reason people are jumping on Saab driver was because of his delivery, and then his follow up thread asking for people's income. Many people who were raised in more fortunate situations are careful not to sound boastful. For example, when I attend community events which are attended primarily by the less fortunate, I don't bring up my GP upbringing, the fact that my 'rents own two homes and a salmon fishing boat. That would be in poor taste. In fact, there are a number of forumers who were raised in GP and other affluent areas, they just don't advertise this particular info. Saab driver did not know his audience before listing his posessions. I'm sure much of this attitude is due to age. When I was 18, I thought I was rich, too (damn, I was in for a rude awakening)! :-)

For those thinking that spoilage is the issue, I really don't think that's the case. Think about it- if you had a lots of money, chances are that you would want to invest wisely. I have a hunch that investing in a Crosswinds Condo, especially with the tax breaks involved, is a pretty darned good idea if you have the funds to do so. Then, add the fact that your child will be attending WSU and you've just killed two birds with one stone, especially with the knowledge that your child will be living among adults and not living it up in the Drinking 101 dorm!

I also agree somewhat with Goat. I have noticed more than a few times the negative stereotypes thrown around about GP and wealth. As I stated earlier, I have no problem with those who have more. I dream for the day where listing my personal income on a forum would sound boastful! :-)

Another positive to Saab's situation is the fact that a well off family in Rochester was actually willing to buy property in Detroit and let their beloved child live there. Sounds like a family who doesn't believe all the anti-Detroit hype!

Jelk is from Grosse Pointe and I'll assume that he knows that the real money never talks about it away from their tax attorney's office. A lot of them even live downscale lives, driving modest cars and living in homes well below what they can afford. It's the differnce between the old money and the crass noveau riche. I don't care how much money you have, and it's the last thing that I'll resent you for, but you come across as way wrong when that's what you start out talking about, especially when you do it in a city where the average person can't afford socks.

Nobody really cares how much cash, earned or unearned, you have, just like nobody is impressed that you're "pre-med". I will be impressed when you get into an actual medical school, even one in Granada, and you will really have my respect when you pass your boards. Anybody enrolled in BIO101 can call himself premed.

In my very humble opinion, I think some people on this forum get "annoyed" with people who don't reside in the city, telling other city dwellers, what Detroit should and shouldn't be. Whether the person is from GP, Canada, or Novi, really shouldn't be the issue. While everyone is more than entitled to their opinions, and their ideas, sometimes just "living" in the city 365 days per year opens your eyes to a whole different world. A world that the "weekend" visitor really doesn't see, or understand.

Now, I am not trying to start a this city versus that city argument at all or this group versus that group. We all know that a great deal of snobbery exist in the Detroit area. It comes in all shapes and sizes. You can have music snobbery, food snobbery, sports team snobbery an car snobbery. But then you can have the standard “I have more than you” type of snobbery. Now, if I were Saab, I’d be living it up too! I mean, who the hell would turn down a brand new car and a condo? But, I just wouldn’t be vocal about it in any manner whatsoever.

I bet every forumer has encountered some kind of snobbery in their lives, and I have had my share. It just sees that this type of class snobbery exists in certain places in the Detroit area, or at least it happens in more in one area, than another. I got to see it up-close many times on this shitty job that I had.

Probably about 7 or 8 years ago, I worked at Andiamos, which is a pretty nice restaurant. Well, they did catering throughout the whole metro area. I use to go with them to help set up and clean up. Most of the time, we would simply pull up this catering truck and cook in the back of it, and I would be helping out. We always had to cater in the nicest areas of the metro Detroit area. We did Birmingham, Bloomfield Hills, Oakland Township, the Grosse Pointes, and some of Detroit’s nicest neighborhoods like Indian Village and Palmer Woods.

What I noticed in my tenure as a catering helper was the dramatic difference in the way we were treated from one city to the next. I mean, there are assholes everywhere in the metro area, but some places just had a hell of a lot more than others. Take the billion-dollar mile for example. Now, I am not saying that everyone out there is a prick. It’s just that out of the 15 or 16 times I went out there, every time we had to deal with this new money kind of snobbery. These particular people always showed off and bragged about what they had or how much they had. “oh, and we are getting a new BMW this week and I have this and I have that and we are going here and we own that.”

The waitresses and servers would come out crying. The valet guys would be pissed because time and time again, they would have to deal with these hard-asses that thought they ruled the world because they were supposedly important because they drove a Jag and they owned a mansion in Oakland Township. Birmingham was the same exact way. Again, I am not judging a whole group or city, but every damn time we went out there, we had to deal with this class superiority thing that they always tried to play.

But when we catered in the Grosse Pointes, we never really came across any sort of snobbery. Before we went , I was under the impression that this was going to be worse than all those asshats out in the country, but I was amazed at how courteous and professional the people were. It just seemed like the people were far more down-to-earth and far more approachable, unlike the others. Many of these people came from old money family and they simply had no need to “show” what they had. It just wasn’t they way they acted at all. but really had no need to show it off.

29 year old father of two living in Downriver. I was born in Detroit, years 1-5 in Dearborn, Mom remarried and we moved to Pontiac where I spent years 5-18 before attending UM-A2 where I spent years 19-22 until I graduated and lived in Romulus for about 6 months until I got married and moved to Troy for years 23 and 24 until I moved to Livonia for year 25 until I bought my first home in Allen Park where I've lived ever since.

I make a nice sum of change as VP of a Marketing/Web Development company in the New Center area. We consult the MEDC, COD and a host of other Detroit area agencies. I'm a big boosters of smart growth and personally think that sprawl not only sucks but has latent racial and socio-economic class warfare undertones. I am committed to seeing Detroit prosper not only physically but spirtually as well as an Associate Pastor of a non-demoninational church in the area. I drive a Saturn and love all things Detroit, especially Sports Teams.

Hope this helps...just a small portion of who I am.

Wow...I had no idea my car would spur so much debate.

I guess it’s just hard for me to see where some of these people are coming from. I’ve never been brought up to be ashamed of having money..and I never called my self RICH, just never really worried about where my next dinner would come from. I simply sad that I drive a Saab and I am 18 and every one assumed I was a snob and a brat. What about people who talk about their Saturn. Aren’t they being snobs to those who take the bus to work?

So to all you Saturn drivers I say….STOP BEING SO RUDE! My sister and 14 and still rides her bike

So graduation from Wayne should get you a 38' Scarab, Med school a place in the Hamptons, passing the boards a piece of his Bermuda holding company? This guy will be out of Wayne and Crosswinds the first time he gets rolled at night. Start filling out that transfer app for Northwestern.

Saab also put disclaimers all over his stuff--look at his first posts, basically apologizing that he got his money from his parents and asking that no one misunderstand him and think him pretentious.
Saab man's got good composure as all the real snobbs try to take him down. Man, I'm becoming bitter like the rest. Maybe Detroiters just have a bad attitude

Patrick, I wholeheartedly disagree with your contention that snobbery exists in greater amounts in certain areas of Metro Detroit. It absolutely occurs in equal amounts all over the region. The only difference is that it takes on different forms from one part of the area to another.

As you said, we've all experienced it, but one's background (which determines one's perception) is the key factor as to whether an individual would (necessarily) recognize as well as understanding it.

Regardless. Some folks up in here are just jealous. Plain and simple. Lay off.
There are things you all know or have that others don't, but they don't drag you down.
So get a grip. It's not the end of the world. The guy asked a couple of questions. If you didn't like it, don't answer! Easy isn't it.

Even if he was bragging, so? There could be a lot worse attributes to this person. If all you got to do is whine about this guy, then you don't have much in life to either worry OR complain about. And I wish I was in your shoes.

I've had my share of handouts thru life, but I chose not to talk about them on a public forum. Do not mistake this forum for any sort of representation of the population of Detroit or its opinions. For a city with a vastly black majority, this site draws - oh, three or four black Detroiters. Most people I have met here are very nice, well intentioned, white Grosse Pointers. Some others are just insane internet-psycho control freaks.

Nice Apocalypse Now reference mauser.

Saab,

A few months back I was in grill, lets say a grill of the Motown variety, and a man over heard a conversation that some friends and I were having. He came over and spoke with us for a few minutes. We got up to leave, and he followed behind speaking to his wife on his cell phone. In the conversation he mention to his wife that she needed to pick up $2000 in cash from the bank. Immediately I and several others looked at each other. Not because the amount was so much, but because he was openly discussing it in front of lots of people he knew nothing about.

Later on I found out one of his employees was stabbed, and another shot, all nearby. Both lived and are ok, and this story is not intended to scare you, more then likely they were involved in some shady dealing that we were not ware of, but either way it just makes sense not to discuss such matters. I had a feeling that with an attitude like that guys something was bound to happen.

I understand you were just trying to get a general feeling for the forum, and you intended no disrespect, but you should keep in mind people see the car you drive (or your handle that implies a certain type of car) they make note of where you live, if they see you coming out (or hear you discussing it) and they will general make assumptions about you. They might peg you as an easy target, so be aware of it. (not in here, I’m saying in general)

I think it sounds like you have a great plan, and a nice setup. Don’t take scrapes on this website to mean anything. It’s a great resource with lots of fantastic people. Just try not to get bogged down in the arguments, they will just kill your time, and you know what they say about arguing on the internet---> http://www.weaintcool.com/Arti cles/argue.html

Good Luck

Don't watch much television here,, as I can't afford one. When I do watch TV I look thru the neighbor's window and watch theirs.
I do have a good AM radio tho........

(Yes my handle is named after a couple of my cars, but figure what the hell, I couldn't come up with anything better.)

31ford - Same reasoning behind my "handle"

Why is it ok for him and not me..like i said earlyer, isn't he being rude to people with cheaper cars then his. just like many of you think im being rude because i used my car as a handle and some here have saturns?

"Can a moderator end this thread? I’m getting tired of listing to..."

Kind of like some one starting a bar fight, getting his ass kicked, and then crying for someone to call the police.

But back on the topic of the day...Arrested Development is absolutly brilliant. And I have a feeling George Michael's cousin is going to be mighty, mighty hot in a couple years. I wish Liza Minilli would return as Buster's girlfriend...a brilliant role on a brilliant television.

The last piece of Arrested Development that I saw was the wayward brother on his Segway in traffic trying to get somewhere. I thought that was great.

That may be the best show on television.

Saab,
There's quite a bit of difference between my handle and yours. It's one thing if you use a modern car name. But my handle is Detroit related. Not to mention the historical aspect.. as Fords were/are produced here and the early ones help put Detroit on the map as the mfr'ing center of the world...
My daily driver is a '99 Ford Escort So I don't want to hear about cheaper cars. I also have a Ford Festiva for sale at 700.00 if you want really cheap!
All this being said I'm dropping the subject.......
Back to TV shows.....

Efficiency, which improves speed, climb, takeoff and landing distance, fuel burn, range, etc. Winglets cut down on "span wise flow". While flying, the higher pressure air underneath the wing and the lower pressure air on top tend to flow outward toward the tips in an attempt to equalize pressure. This causes extra drag and also wingtip vortices (similar to a horizontal tornado) which can cause smaller aircraft flying behind to get flipped over -- however, they say that the vortex from a 747 is strong enough to roll another 747. The winglets help keep the air flowing from front to back resulting in the efficiencies above.

Who wins with lease vehicles? I mean besides the used car dealer?

Customers don't like em,...the finance company gets murdered on the residual value.

It's no wonder the average American's credit card balance is $6000.00.

Everyone is leveraged out the wazoo. And then David Hall comes along and says,...."with our new plan you can afford a $300,000.00 mortgage and consolidate your debt in to one great big pile of deferred debt that will loom over your head until you can't stand it and then right when you're about to break, our next plan will allow you to get a second mortgage based on the projected success of your first born, interest only of course,...you'd be a fool not to get that money now."

Irresponsible financing is ruining the world,...along with fossil fuel emissions,....and Jessica Simpson.

Forget leasing - Who buys news cars?

With all the off-lease cars that hit the used market with low miles and only 24-36 months old, there are a lot of really reliable used cars that are way more affordable.

Then again, I don't really care what I drive, so long as it gets me there. Maybe I just don't understand the appeal of a new car :-) And there is an amount of uncertianty associated with used. But for me at least, it's been the way to go.

Can you imagine what form of ridicule you would have had to endure if you had shown up on your "Green Machine", summer of 1978, with a freakin' helmet on?

Don't get me wrong, I'm completely against closed head injuries, but that kid's barely a foot off the ground. He could get more hurt if he fell down while walking.

As nice as Carptrash's Datsun wagon.

But I think we have all had those cars before. You have to start somewhere. Unless of course your family has $$$. Then you are one lucky person.

I think Skulker should drop the 67 Impala low to the ground, hook-up the hydrolics, add the spinner rims, and install the fuzzy balls around the interior and then we can go cruise Adrian together.

#2 - 78' Chevy Silverado Pickup, blue/silver
#3 - 79' Plymouth Volare Wagon, red
#4 - 84' Ford Tempo, white
#5 - 90' Mazda MPV, tan

None of these cars were aquired new.

Mazda has 185,000 on it.

I want to be LeMansDriver67.

When I'm on tour for extended periods of time I'm a musician.

When I'm not on tour I'm a musician who moonlights in a downtown clothing store and teaches drum lessons.

I really want to pretend I'm a developer with deep pockets - but who wouldn't?

I went to the Cafe for the first time tonight and met my first forumer in person. I can report that "marcnbyr" is one heck of a nice dude.

I can also report that my chicken salad sandwich and tea were splendid, along with the Cafe itself. I will definitely be returning.

I can also report that I have to pee.

You all are cheating. You can't make your handles out of some car you used to own or wished you owned or told some fat broad at the bar who looked pretty good when you were hammered that you owned. It has to be what you own now and it has to running.

Like, f'instance, Mazda626Driver1942 had his car repossessed. He can't use that name any more. He has to be WalkingWithALimpGuy now.

Man Goat, didn't you watch Knight Rider. Man that car could jump schitt and talk to you. Way better than your flamer big wheel any day.
I'd still be riding it today if i could get my hands on one of those helmets because you know the danger that come with such high speeds. That and it wouldn't hold my fat ass. Well also the big front wheel wore out and split down the middle giving it a flat tire appearance.

P.S. I am in no way attempting to disparage our fellow forumers of the gay persuasion by cutting down Goats flamer big wheel. Said homosexuals are often great individuals and desearve all our respect.

Now back to the regularly scheduled argument.

Heh Heh...I went to the first concert at Tiger Stadium...Eagles/Etheridge in 94'. The line to the ladies room was about 500 ft long. About 50 guys were lined up at the troughs when 5 ladies decided it was time to take over the men's room. They walked in and stopped dead in their tracks....staring at all the men peeing in a row. One said, "Wow...I've never seen this much ???? at one time !! This is better than Danny's !!" All the guy's caught in a pensive moment were going "hey hey now".
