He was a teacher for, like, two years. He engineered the state take-over of DPS as a state representative. He shilled for Proposal E. And Lonnie Bates can even school him on the finer points of feeding at the public trough.

After he's cut his teeth on the school board, he can run for city council and be elected for a lifetime sinecure free from pesky re-election campaigns.

He can't run for the DPS board because the DPS board is under state control. Only the state can appoint him which unfortunately they won't!
