As much as evryone up-in-here cites the fishwrap as their means of Detroit news (HAH!!), I'm very surprized that not 1 has mentioned the Freep article regarding the Council and its employees. However, if ya read it ... did it raise questions as to why Maryann Mahaffey was not mentioned as the chief administrator for the CC?? and why she permitted those irregularities to exist?? or is she a sacred-pig (while being the main player and having to sign-off on all those contracts) to the white controlled media?? Go figure ..... on real hypocritical bullschitt!! Black-atcha ..... saying, "it's time for the Old Biddy to go!" |

In one instance, Councilwoman JoAnn Watson paid former Council President Erma Henderson $23 an hour for advising her on the lack of black firefighters in the city and the need for a more spiritual life for Detroiters. Watson, often critical of outside contractors, has hired the most with 27. SICK! |

Bates had quite a story on Fox 2 tonight. Looks like he is neck deep in shit and still sinking. City auditor seemed to call his bluff in regards to "Thats how all the CC does it" in regards to paying staff member that are out of state, working other jobs, and such. "The People's choice?" Hardly! I'm kinda glad white boy didn't get outta his face with that camera....to quote Mr Bates. |

WDET covered it this afternoon. Cockeral Jr. had only 2. Getting a consultant, any consultant, for $23 an hour is a deal, especially for a pro like Erma. So that is hardly a criticism; if anything it is a compliment. I can't make out exactly what an employee constitutes. Does anyone know? If it is a one time consultation, does that count as being an employee? Just curious. |
