I would like to see Hilmer Kenty win a seat on council. Hilmer Kenty website

"As the former owner of an electronics supplier to Chrysler, Kenty said he would like to bring more professionalism to the job.

"I think with my boxing, I bring mental discipline," he said. "

Detroit News 08/03/2005

"When Hilmer Kenty says he'll be a fighter for Detroit, he's not kidding. A former world lightweight boxing champion, Kenty has owned his own electric equipment supply firm and has more recently worked in sales and marketing for a building company. He has the same concerns as other businessmen about the city's too often inhospitable economic climate. He also wants to make sure neighborhood residents get the best value for their tax dollars in city services."
