That doesn't surprise me that much, but I was very surprised to hear the teachers union was endorsing Freman.

The way things are going, I would not be surprised if Carolyn Cheeks-Kilpatrick changed her mind and endorsed Hendrix.

Hendrix for Mayor 2005!

Why should it be a surprise with the teachers union. The DFT supported and lobbied for the takeover of the DPS.

Birds of a Feather.

And the DFT also has people who've had to call 911.

Those feathers run deep.

Clark is an up and comer, a very significant endorsement. It could be the tipping point. Since Benny has already jumped on the Hendrix wagon that only leaves McPhail to join. I wouldn't send anyone over to measure the drapes yet, but this significantly enhances Hendrix's already strong position.

I think he could deliver an early knock blow if he brought on [or got to join] Joe Harris. You don't want to talk about the pain that will have to come, no matter who wins, but having a fiscal realist who knows the city finance inside and out on your team would do much to address that underlying anxiety.
