Date: Fri. 19 Aug 2005 Brothers and Sisters, WE ARE AT WAR The Black Slate is organizing for the Detroit General Election, Tuesday, November 8, 2005. The Central Region Black Slate Committee met together and then contacted Jaramogi about our plan. Initially, we are attempting to get one or two " top notch" teams of Black Slate front line troops ( consisting of Volunteers from every region) on the ground in Detroit as early as possible or as early as September 6, 2005. These must be willing and able workers who will be blessed, fed, nourished and greatly appreciated as "front line Troops" throughout their stay in Detroit ( beginning as early as 09/06/05) and ending not before 11/09/05). By" blessed" they mean get paid. As you already know from the outcome of the Detroit Primary Election, Mayor Kilpatrick came through 10 percentage points behind his major opponent. What you may or may not realize is that the Sharon McPhail / Benny Napoleon and Hansen Clarke campaigns took a combined 20% of the vote ( 12% and 8% respectively). Sadly, the total turnout for the Detroit Primary was roughly 21%. Of that percentage, white voters who constitute less than 11% of the Detroit vote represented 32% of the primary turnout; and more than 90% of that vote went to the opposition. Again, white folks " plunking" controlling the Detroit vote. This is no surprise. What was upsetting is how the enemy so effectively confused and divided the majority Detroit vote. They knew all the dirty dealings of Freeman and his boss ( the Republican, anti-Black-empowerment, Uncle Tom Dennis Archer administration); but they held it out of public scrutiny-to the benefit of their neo lackey. Written as is in e-mail. At the same time, they kept up the highly shallow and negative , non-issue hits on Mayor Kilpatrick: the party at the Manougian that never happended, the Navigator, the credit card, the out of town expenditures. the fact is that in just his first term ( less than four years), Mayor Kilpatrick has done more to revivie, rebuild and restore Detroit than any mayor in this city's history. And it is all documented. The mainstream media in this town ( who from day one supported their appointed agents) has known it all, but they choose not to print or in any way promote it. Need you wonder why? The main stream media they refer to endorsed Kilaptrick in his first election. Many of these voters, we feel are reachable by the Black Slate. More importantly, we know that we can help inform and educate our brothers and sisters who are among that 20% and many others-now that the field is greatly narrowed. We can and will open their eyes as to how we as a voting community that has historically been more aware and wise about the efforts of those (mostly and usually outside of Detroit proper) whose goal is to present a public view of Detroit as a city that is unable to govern itself. Isn't that what they're doing by bringing in outsiders? We can and will open our Brothers and Sisters eyes to how we-a nearly 90% Black city and America's premier urban representation- have been played by those, both inside and outside of Detroit, who seek to garnar control of our community, our city and indeed Southeast Michigan to the detriment of Black independence and self determination. We can and will open the Black community's eye as to how we have been played by the main stream media and their chosen lackey's. In other words, WE ARE AT WAR. Its why Helmut and his supporters are working to divide the city and then only respond to the part of the city that supports them.
