Gee so says Lessenberry! I am kind of tried of him ... ever since he trashed the Aquarium folks for the good work they were doing. Beside another old white guy suburbanite (he lives in Huntington Wods) telling us (who live in Detroit) what to do.

Lessenberry has avoided the issues and instead used code words and other ways to dance around the issue of race. That has been the basis of all of his columns regarding Detroit over the past years. The other thing he writes about is Bush and how he does not like some republicans in Washington. Yet, he is and votes republican in his hometown and does not criticize local republicans. He will jump on a local issue if it involves L. Brooks and other known figures. But when it comes to crooked things in his own neighborhood, neck of the woods, he is always silent. But he always has time to bash Detroit. Regardless of who is the next mayor he will have someting negative to say about them.

Brian, you have once again proven that Mark Twain was right when he remarked, "The difference between genius and stupidity is that genius has its limits." Every time I think you've said the stupidest thing in the entire history of the English language, you manage to follow it up with something even more stupid than that.

You argue that Mr. Lessenberry's columns are filled with code-words; that he avoids the issues. What "code-words" is he using in these excerpts?

quote:

The city’s auditor general thinks the mayor doesn’t even understand the budgeting process.

quote:

Whether kids take more drugs in Southfield or Paraguay has nothing to do with doing a competent job as mayor of Detroit.

quote:

This isn’t the 1980s. Do you know who those suburbanites are? Former Detroiters, many of them African-American.

Avoiding the issues?

I've said it before and I'll say it again, the average pro-Detroit Hendrix supporter spends more time researching and discussing the issues than anyone in the Kilpatrick camp has during their cicrus' entire tenure.

"Beside another old white guy suburbanite (he lives in Huntington Wods) telling us (who live in Detroit) what to do." -"Ilovedetroit"

You two seem to have a couple of things in common, since you're now claiming to be a man and you originally claimed to be from Ferndale.

Still can't keep your stories straight.

Huh?

I'm definitely not from Ferndale, and have never posted to that effect.
