Is McPhail really coaching Kwame for the upcoming debates? If this is true, the little respect I had for her just went out the window.

I don't know. If she is it her business and she probably has good reasons for it. She has never cared for Hendrix and thinks that he would be bad for Detroit...then again she is not a big fan of Kilpatrick. If she is coaching him then she has obviously decided to help the least bad of the two. Does not say much for Hendrix if she is.

If she is...so be it...that is her business. Even though Kwame is an excellent speaker and debater. If anything, Freman should have paid her to be his advisor. When speaking, he really does need some help. Kwame ain't no saint by no means, but he sounds good and can speak well on topics. Freman on the other hand, leaves alot to be desired.

Freman cannot speak to the public at all. That's one thing why I cannot believe people fell for him over Sharon McPhail.

I hate people who feel only men (according to the status quo) can run government!

Is this the latest rumor the Helmut camp is starting? Helmut is projected to lose all three debates because everyone knows how poorly he is at public speaking. He cannot think on his feet, he cannot formulate ideas and he cannot come up with original material improptu. Yet, Helmut is upset because even though he is projected to lose all debates with KK, he is still projected to win in November. Helmut's ego cannot handle defeat. I hope he wins because otherwise he and his supporters may go on a rampage and try to take out as many things as they can before they calm down.

Hard to imagine but KK and his supporters act and appear more mature than Helmut and his supporters. Even with all the things KK says and does. Can the Helmut supporters teach Helmut how to act like a winner?

An indication of whether an individual is a good speaker is whether he can convey confidence and strength in the message he is sharing. I may not like Kwame, but he is an excellent speaker because he oozes confidence even when we know he's full of crap. He knows who he is. I seriously doubt if Sharon's helping Kwame. He doesn't need debate coaching. However, on the other hand, Freeman does a poor, poor job. I had the oppurtunity to hear him debate several times, and he was always so busy telling the moderator when he had been given the next question, " I would like to go back to the previous question." Very confusing debating style. But what can you expect. He doesn't know which name to use,(Helmut or Freeman) he doesn't know what color he is (white or black) and he really doesn't know what he can claim as having done under the Archer administration so he takes credit for the good, and denies anything bad.

Brian, do you always have to end your posts with a question? Tell me, what do you know about Hendrix's ego? Did you ask him how he feels about being ahead in the polls but not in the debates?

Brian, you can say some stupid ass shit. At any rate, we "Helmut supporters" will survive if he loses the election. We have too much class to act like "savages." The major question to ask is, "How will Kilpatrick supporters handle losing the election?" We already know how McPhail supporters have handled their candidate's loss. :-( :-( :-(

Royce, I know more about Helmut's ego than I cared too when this election began. In fact I bumped into it when I asked Helmut how he felt about being ahead in the polls but not in the debates. The darn thing was so huge that it prevented the man responding. But he did get out,"I would like to get back to that".

Sadly, Sharon did not win. KK's folks are acting like losers. Its the Helmut folks that are the winers and complainers. Why do they act like sore winners and as if they have no self confidence? Will these folks be running the city if Helmut wins? Will Helmut supporters answer any questions instead of continuing the dogdge the issues? Can Helmut win a mayoral election by running on what the current mayor can't do instead of what he intends to do? Will Royce put four blue faces in his next post?

I guess he follows the logic of that Seinfeld episode when Jerry asked George how to beat a lie detector:

"Its not a lie if you believe its true."

i don't think kk would need a coach if he had some results to talk about.
grass cutting is better, roads did get worked on but how about managing the city, it's size and the budget? hmmm, grass #1 priority, city finaances, let me get to them after some late nite business. i think we could all do a better job than hendrix in the debate but we're electing a mayor not a professional debater. we need someone to think forward while being mayor of the city not thinking about the clubs.

Miss Flow

Looks like he does know what name to use, it's been Freman since I can remember.

And are you another one of those jealous blacks that want's to believe that someone bi-racial is confused - when deep down in your heart you wish you came that close to passing?

That shit you said (name/color) has nothing to do with his qualifications in city management. Stick to the issues.

Okay, go ahead and keep calling her an evil witch. But you better be careful cause that evil witch may put a hex on you that you can't get rid of.

And here is a question: If Sharon is an evil witch, then what does that make Freman? I told you, the one time I saw him speak he was mean and rude and very angry. Let's see.....I'll think about that.

Danny, I said that is a sexist statement. Do you know her personally...has she done something to you? Do you have PROOF that she is an evil witch? Hell no. Or maybe you are one of those people who don't like black women because you deep down inside you want to be one.

No confusion on my part about who I am or what I am. Haven't tried to "pass" and haven't needed to. Been able to make it thus far with the name given to me at birth. No omissions necessary. Jealous...Nope. I'm trying to understand why someone would wish to, as you put it "come that close to passing?" I did not say that bi-racial people are confused...just the one that's running for mayor. As for sticking to the issues.....I'll write what the hell I want to. Everyone else does. Being a great public speaker speaks volumes about a persons character and how he can command an audience, and lead a people.... People who cannot command an audience have no business running for political office....

And that is how Adolph Hitler came to power!
