I just heard that channel four is releasing their new poll that shows KK is only down by 3% points with a margin or error of 5. This is going to be on nail biting race!

Is this coming out before or after the last (Kwame down by 4%) poll?

And speaking of which, where the hell are the polls? With the election less than two weeks away, you would expect polls to be a bit more frequent than monthly.

I'm going to the bar.......before the Freman people start asking..."who was polled", "what were their ages"...exactly how many people"....when the polls stated he was leading by double digits, none of them were asking these questions...they were just partying. When it shows a close race, that's when they start asking questions. You people are really starting to be a bore!

Bratt, speaking as a Freman supporter. I don't care who they polled. Rasputin has told ya'll 1,957 times (yes, I counted) that only one poll counts. Which bar you going to?, I'll join ya. No politics allowed! I see Berts in my near future.

TONIGHT I went to a Kilpatrick rally (my first) there were several hundred VERY energetic people there - very diverse crowd of all ages and races. It was fun. I was not expecting to enjoy it as much as I did. KK gave a really inspiring speech. It went something like this.

"Regardless of being white or black this is all about one thing...our love for this city. I lovet his city. It is our home and we are so proud of it."

A lot of credit was given to McPhail and her supporters which they reckon boosted his poll results by 8%. It was an inspiring evening.

And that poll is good...just saw it on channel 4. AND TRUST ME. I believe in polls now. After being on the losing end with McPhail...those polls were dead on accurate within a couple of points. This will be a close race!

Detailed poll results

note that Kwame leads in only one age group, and it's the age group least likely to actually vote.

That poll must have been taken at a Kilpatrick rally. The only group that ALWAYS votes, are people over 50. And Hendrix wins that hands down. Good luck rounding up all of those drunk college students on election day.

Jonesy - Tell yourself whatever you need to to make yourself feel good. Before McPhail lost the primary I was making up every excuse in the book as our polls went south...then guess what they were accurate. But hope is a good thing!

Is it really possible to recieve an ass whooping in the primary...and then have so little cash that you cant respond to your challengers attack ads, and win the election?
I dont see it happening, it may be close, but it aint gonna happen.

If you think it can happen...then you may be talking about the biggest comeback in the history of american politics...pulled off by a punk and a thug.

I see him giving a valiant effort, that falls a day late and dollar short...and that would be a fitting end to his administration.
What's right is right...KK must pay for his sins.
KK's supporters are misguided because they were disrespected all over the lot for 3+ years...now they are allowing themselves being mesmerized by his horseshit.

ILD-
Seniors vote. They always vote. And they're voting for Hendrix. Kwame has not been able to make any gains with voters over 50. And if he doesn't before November 8th he'll lose this election.

My phone rang yesterday and I looked at the caller id and it said Freman Hendrix. There was a very nice white gentleman on the other end encouraging me to vote on November 8th. He then asked who I was voting for, and I told him I had no clue. That I didn't like either candidates.

We must have had a half hour conversation. I was telling him why I didn't like Kwame and why I didn't like Freman. He went on and on how Freman was a good friend of his and how their kids were raised together and so on and so on......

One thing that he said that I found interesting though: I asked why did Freman leave his job when the Archer Administration had another year to go. He said that at that time, Archer knew he wasn't running anymore, and it was too late for Freman to throw his hat in and run for mayor, so he took another job opportunity. (Was it really too late for him to run?). Humm......

Anyway, I know this guy was happy when he got off the phone, I really gave him a run for his money.

Again, the most recent CH4 poll was weighed exactly the same as their previous poll. 31% (18-34) instead of 15% and 25% seniors instead of 50%.

By the way Bratt, how does one tell someone's race over the phone? Glad to see that you're back to your original claim of "not voting at all". Or is it "not voting if the election was held today"? You really shouldn't be so disingenuous. No one questioned other polls because they ACCURATELY reflect the actual voting populace...not some wild scenario where half of the largest voting block (whom support Hendrix 2 to 1) that represents half of the entire electorate, magically doesn't show up and double a much smaller portion of less likely voters magically appear.

And here we go again with "Ilovedetroit" "at an event".

You know, dealing with him has been a huge headache. I know if I was running, I wouldn't want him on my team. He would scare everyone away!
