DETROIT – Mayoral challenger Freman Hendrix is making a campaign issue of the city’s current budget deficit, touting himself as the “operations guy,” but he has a few deficits of his own. Documents obtained by The Michigan Citizen reveal two Michigan banks, Monroe Bank and Trust and Warren Bank, are suing Hendrix and his partners in the Oakland County-based Mulligan Golfing business to collect more than $500,000 in defaulted loans. The suits were filed in Oakland County’s 6th judicial circuit court against Hendrix and his partners, David H. Fink, David Katz, Dale Jurcisin, and former Wayne County Executive Edward H.
