Time to play JJABA trivia. Answer all questions in order with numbers. Winners must have a complete list to win. JJABA is the source and judge of the answers. His decision is final. A nice prize is awarded the winner. 1. When did the Detroit Tigers start using uniform numbers? 2. Name the six Tigers numbers retired from use. 3. Who is honored for wearing these numbers? 4. Name 3 Detroit Tigers to wear #5. 5. Who managed the 1984 Detroit Tigers to a World Series win and which number was he wearing? 6. Who is called "The Greatest Tiger of All?" And what was his uniform number? 7. Name the 1934-35 Tigers 4 players called "Battalion of Death." 8. Name the six Tigers Statues behind Comerica Park Centerfield. 9. In the April 14th opening game rolling out their new numbers in St. Louis, in which stadium were they playing the Browns? 10. Of those who wore the Tigers numbers for whom they were retired, only one is NOT in Hall of Fame. His name please. 11. Where's "Kaline's Corner?" And how many years did Al Kaline play for Detroit? 12. Name two streets bordering Tiger Stadium named for Tiger greats. (Bonus if you can tell us what the street names were called previously.) Good luck. First one with correct answers will win JJABA Trivia. Thanks for playing. jjaba. |

Bushay has an almost perfect score. Let's see if he can clean it up with a re-do of the whole list. JJABA likes to have it right and in one place. Some of your numbers are incorrect, you've got two of the Battalion of Death correct, and credit is given for Sportsman's Park, if you add it in the right spot. Hopefully, others will compete. JJABA made this tougher than most, because of previous complaints that his contests were soft. Thanks Rock, my trusted attorney, and spike sharpener for Ty Cobb. jjaba. |

Bushay is declared winner of jjaba trivia. Mazel tov. Hal Newhouser wore #16 and Sparky Anderson was #11. This was a tough little contest, and Bushay did it. Congratulations. Give JJABA your email address and he'll take it from there. In consulation with The Rock, my attorney, we made the award even though there were some minor errors, AND nobody else was competing. jjaba, Tigers Fan and Trivia-meister. |
