WOW. I remember there was a ship by the name of Delphine at the museum. Wonder is it still there? 313

Nice post, BBrew!! You probably recall that we sold (cancelled) stock certificates from the old D and C line to (partially) fund the purchase and erection of the beautiful paneling for the Gothic Room in the museum. Bob Lee was the curator of the museum at that time and lost the tip of his thumb in a power saw working on the installation! We all devoted a fair share of hours to that project, but Bob went above and beyond the call of duty.

I saw the SS Delphine in Malta when she was there. I couldn't believe my eyes because I had no idea what happened to her after her stint in the Chesapeake. The restoration is phenomenal and the only unfortunate thing is that the ship could not be her in her 'home'. Now in Monaco, I assume the enormous cost of her operations is the province of the super-rich of Europe and the Middle East.

the river rat misses Delphine

Any word on when the GLMI hopes to get the webcam up and running again?

Whenever they can find a new wireless server that can handle the traffic. The old (and as far as I know, only) company that served Belle Isle went out of business.
