The Lofts at New Center website says there are only three units left - don't know out of how many total - but is there other new development scheduled for the area? I see a lot of places for sale for condo/loft space but is anything moving? Plans in the works or is north of the Blvd still a little too far north?

There are supposed to be some condos at the St Regis in the near future too I believe.

That's for the existing Crosswinds condos, I believe. There is still more buildout on the Crosswinds site with another building or two going in on the north side of the existing just across the street. The lot is already cleared.

BTW, an apt building on Euclid is being rehabbed... I think into condos, but I don't remember for sure id it was condos or apts. Should be already under way - bids were about... 6 months ago?

Yes, although those, of course, are south of Grand Blvd - which you know - I know - but I don't know if those who don't know know that they don't know that they know they don't know.

The one Jonna loft project that is visible from Woodward is pretty far along now... and looking very sweet.

North of the Blvd is pretty much what I was wondering - everything working seems to be south but the properties north still seem stagnant except the Crosswinds projects

I was wondering if there's any hope for the existing housing over there but probably not for a few more years if ever

A few people renovated houses on Virgina Park within the last year or so. Recent sales on the street are around $350,000. The housing stock on Pallister, Delaware, Seward, and other New Center streets is well maintained and occupied.

Check out Research Loft on Trumbull. One block north of Wayne State's Football field.

Nearing completion and these are real lofts.

the particular property I had pitched to me was behind Metropolitan Methodist

it's tempting but with so much else happening south of there and nothing happening on the street it's on I think I'm gonna pass

Llyn - the apartment building on the south side of the street near 3rd?

If so, I've had my eye on that one for a long time. A true diamond in the ruff. Beautiful art deco front - or is it moorish? I'm not so sure.

I always felt like that building was my secret find - good to see it being renovated.

There's actually a couple buildings in that area, I'm not sure of the name or exact location of the one I mentioned - just that it's on Euclid not far west of Woodward.

Lilpup - be a pioneer!!!

Anything new on the Argonaut bldg? Wasn't the rehab of that place supposed to be on by now? I haven't been by there for some time nor have seen it mentioned up in here lately.

I'd like to be a pioneer but I'm wary of taking on a first project that's 8x my entire net worth AND would be a real workout for an attorney to help make happen relatively safely

Is there a mailing list or something for people who want to gamble something less than 8x their net worth on a first project?
