Is that parking garage from the Model D article seriously all Asian Town is going to be? Are there more developments planned that coincide? I really hope that is an artist rendering and more consideration is put into it: we don’t need a Disney World Asian Town, but something unique would be nice; look at Chicago’s China Town.

Something like Chicago, or Manhattan's Chinatown develops over time, it can't really be created at will.

It's not intended to be a Chinatown.

Tkelly,

I hope I don't have to lump you into the group of grumps around here that is critical of every new idea, concept, or development that we discuss.

Things have to begin somewhere. There exists something called progress:

From dictionary.com - prog·ress Audio pronunciation of "progress" ( P ) Pronunciation Key (prgrs, -rs, prgrs)
n.
1. Movement, as toward a goal; advance.
2. Development or growth: students who show progress.
3. Steady improvement, as of a society or civilization: a believer in human progress. See Synonyms at development.
4. A ceremonial journey made by a sovereign through his or her realm.

I believe ASIAN VILLAGE fits the context of number 3.

Any development is good development. BTW it is a glorified parking structure.
