Tuller Hotel pics
just curious...
When did the Tuller come down, and were the awnings shown in some of the pics put on for the same reason they were put on the Statler?

sweet photos. The city looked damn abandoned back then. Too bad the "american acropolis" idea never panned out.

Actually, it is for the best that Camille Jose Vargara's American Acropolis idea didn't pan out. Yes, Hudson's and the Statler would still be rotting away (along with everything else)...

By the way Mr. Vargara is a relative of the Michigan Building owner. He probably got his initial inspiration for that idea from the former Michigan Theatre.
