The National Anthem Project visits the Bandshell on Belle Isle on Saturday July 8th from 11am until 3pm. The program is aimed primarily at the 2/3 of our country that do not know the words, origin, or meaning of our National Anthem. The program is presented by The National Association for Music Education, the worlds largest arts education association. The event is supported by First Lady Laura Bush and Jeep brand. There will be games and prizes and a $1000.00 grand prize donation to local music program with the opportunity to perform at a concert in Washington DC in 2007.

NO THANKS! I no longer attend the National Anthem Project, it has gotten out of hand. Orginally it was intended to teach the words to the National Anthem. I refuse listen to that song over and over and over. What if you have a large family...stay home that's what. The National Anthem Project has evolved into a Waste Fast.

What about the rest of the commie/lib/leftists on this site? Anyone else want to slam our National Anthem? What about it ORF, want to weigh in on this one? Jeff probably gets Hip-Hop or reality shows drummed into his head "over and over" but he draws the line at listening to our National Anthem "over and over".

I was mocking Pacy's "Taste Fest NO THANKS!" thread. I can't believe he didn't recognize it. I friggin' cut & paste his own text, then modified it a little.
