Have you ever seen a time line painted on a wall or exhibit in the Detroit area? perhaps something in Cranbrook or the DIA? I am trying to find "samples" for a project. Anyone know where to begin? |

In the basement of the Detroit Historical Museum there is a diorama of 20 or so different showcases, each with a different period scene showing Detroit from the founding in 1701, to the 20th century. |

The timeline at the Holocaust Memorial Center, as Itsjeff pointed out, is a great timeline, not only of Jewish history, but also of world history. It's circular, so you start at the beginning and can walk all the way around "time" in a circle. One of the most impressive timelines I've come across in this area. Definitely worth a trip to 12 Mile Rd. and Orchard Lake to see it. |

Try the book, "Detroit in it's World Setting". It is one big time line of the Detroit area. Also the Detroit Almanac |
