I was just going through my pictures from last Thursday's Tigers vs White Sox day game. Since we had been drinking since around 10 am, I couldn't exactly recall all the pics I took until going through them. I ran across this one and was glad I took it. It is a shining example of why Detroit's neighborhoods continue to have problems, while downtown is safer than many suburbs within the region.

Three officers on patrol in a golf cart, pulling over a car. Now granted, this was likely prior to them playing crossing guard soon after, it still had me scratching my head thinking "WTF?" Three officers to pull over one car?

Is the guy in the back of the cart eating?? That pic is too funny. Kind of like "Cops, caught on tape"

Got no problem with it. Yeah, maybe they could have been elsewhere, but I've always been a believer that if you take care of the little stuff, the big stuff doesn't get so out of hand.

Maybe the guy had been drinking. Or ran a light. Or speeding. Don't get me started on speeding....but maybe they thought that it was okay to do something illegal just because it is Detroit. Because the police took care of it, they might think twice next time.

Sure they could have been in the neighborhoods. But I'm glad they were at least somewhere.

Now, get them in both places! :-)

I'll bet someone waiting after a 911 call would love to see that photo.
Doesn't seem like the PD is too spread out at that location.
