The median on Woodward between Congress and Larned has been landscaped. I was surprised that they didn't plant any trees which really cut down on the amount of noise pollution. Only low growing plants such a lilies were planted. Maybe trees will be installed later in the fall. |

Hey Bibs, I think someone posted on here last fall or early this spring about this ... apparently the absence of trees is to insure a clear sightline from Campus Martius to Hart Plaza. |

It makes sense to me as to why that sightline is needed. There really isn't much of a connection along the Woodward corridor at times and even if this were to be a visual thing I think it's good. We need to find a way to link all of these little pockets on Woodward if we can. |

I've got to drive by this on the way home. Just last week it was all grass. I think they should plant trees...the only thing in direct site is the fist and the tower thingy. |

Tress would make for a more attractive setting. Who cares if you can't see Hart Plaza from CM? Downtowns with lots of tress, in addition to the beauty, have cleaner air. |

Why can't they plant short trees or shrubs of some sort. It does look pretty barren, even with landscaping. |

I agree on the trees. I was just having this conversation earlier today. The shrubs all look crappy so far. I hope it fills in next season. If it stays as it looks now, I would have preferred to keep the grass. |

Dial4Hipster - Thanks for the commennts about the line of sight on Woodward. How about cutting some of the trees down along the river in Hart plaza so you can see the Detroit River from Woodward and Jefferson? There very few places where you can actually see the river from Jefferson. |

How about no trees, building, railings. Blast the whole thing. One huge low flatland? The river would look awesome! |

The only upside of trees is no longer having to look at Ford Auditorium. You can't see the river anyway with that schitt in the way. |
