it's very nice, completely redone, no detail spared. i've been there to visit friends from out-of-town, and i've been there for a conference. the accommodations, amenities, services, and entertainment facilities are outstanding. |

It's ok. There is a restaruant at the top that revolves around the city and you get a nice view but don't eat the food because it is crap. Maybe go for a drink. Eat dinner or breakfast somewhere in the city, much better than eating in the RenCen. |

The restaurant DOES NOT revolve anymore. Coach Insignia opened up a year or so ago and is in my opinion better than the Summit which used to be up there. http://www.mattprenticerg.com/ urc/coach.asp |

As for eating "in the RenCen," Seldom Blues and Andiamo are both outstanding. The Riverfront Cafe was pretty tasty, too. Mani, you're too cranky for your own good. (Message edited by Hamtramck Steve on August 06, 2006) |

It's a completely different restaurant than the old Summit and reopened in August 2004. As for why it's now called Coach Insignia, the following is from a 9/18/03 GM press release: "In 1973, Fred J. Fisher, II, grandson of the founder of Fisher Body Company, with his wife Juelle, purchased prime vineyard land in Sonoma, Calif. Today the Fisher Vineyards produce some of the finest wines in the world. Where many vineyards use the designation "reserve" for their finest wines, Fisher Vineyards uses "Insignia" to note their highest quality. The Fisher Insignia emblem, a depiction of a Napoleonic coach, is familiar to the millions of people who owned cars with a Body by Fisher. Fisher Body is a former division of General Motors. The new Coach Insignia restaurant brings together fine food and wine and the heritage of General Motors." |

Do all the rooms in the Marriot have exterior views? And what's the highest floor with hotel rooms - all the way up to the restaurant? |

I think the restaurant is 72-73rd floor. I think all rooms are outward looking |

I stayed at the hotel, rooms are good, great views, with the bars and restaurants there now, you can have fun and never leave if you don't want to. |

I stayed at the Ren Cen last year when a friend of mine came to visit. He got a room on the 67th floor facing the city. It was remarkable. Unfortunately, this was before I bought my camera. |
