I'm doing some research, and I needed some help from you demographers. I know it doesn't matter if I beg, but, please, I do not want any commentary, just numbers.

My questions is, how much (total number and percent) of Detroit proper's (or Detroit Metro's) businesses are Black-owned? I found some old data from 1992, but was wondering if any new data was available to compare it to?

Thanks in advance.

I don't think the census keeps this sort of info, maybe an agency that enforces DBE would keep this info?

Help me with the acronyms, please. (i.e. SBA and DBE). If links could be posted, that be even better. Either way, thanks thus far.

Unfortunately, I didn't ask for any of that if you'd actually read my post. I'm not surprised that you didn't, or chose to completely ignore it, though. And, to be truthful, I was hoping you didn't see this.

Thanks Viziondetroit and Detroitplanner, for the sites. I shot off an email and hope to get a reply soon.
