Ford Ka Receives Allergy Accolade
By Richard Noble
COLOGNE, Germany, Sept. 14, 2006 – The Ford Ka has become the fifth Blue Oval model to receive achieve an "allergy tested interior" certification from the TUV Rhineland Group, following in the footsteps of the Focus, Focus C-MAX, Galaxy and S-MAX.
The TUV is an independent, authoritative German testing and assessment organisation that controls and certifies quality standards for industrial and consumer products.
More than 100 materials and components of the Ka were tested for harmful substances and allergy causing potential. Additionally, all components likely to have direct and prolonged skin contact, such as the steering wheel and seat covers, floor mats and seat belts, were dermatologically tested.
The certification is also good news for people who don't suffer from allergies, as a central part of the TUV's testing is an extensive analysis of the air quality inside the vehicle. The experts examine the concentration of organic substances such as formaldehyde, phenoles and phthalates and solvents.
Ford will continue to develop existing and future vehicle interiors according to the stringent TUV criteria.

I keep trying to put a picture of my Ka on, but you can just go here:

Removed the link to my flickr account since there is the picture below.

It has no balls on the Autobahn, we leased a base line model. I usually hang out in the right lane until I hit about 140km a then I get I the middle lane. That is only about 85mph.

The Ford Ka

You and your southern drawl. It's "car," Cafe. "C-A-R." The "r" is not silent.

Cafe is in the Mercedes heartland. Think Boblingen and Bad Canstatt.

"Could we get a rear three quarter view of your Ka?" <-- Almost had to censor that, heh.

I like to think that I am in the heart of Porsche. The horse that they use is actually the horse that is used by Stuttgart, which was originally a stud farm. Yep...a Stud farm. The energy here is fantastic. I am less than 30 km from Stuttgart.

Yes, Merc. is here too. Germans drive a lot of Fords.

Almost isn't serious; that was an attempt at humor that obviously failed.

Cafe, I think your little bit of good news is drastically overshadowed by this bad news.

FORD DEALER: Hi, can I help you?

CAFÉ: Hi, y’all. I’d like a new Ka.

DEALER: Of course. What kind of car did you want?

CAFÉ: A Ka.

DEALER: Yes, ma’am. But what kind of car?

CAFÉ: Uh, a Ford Ka, silly!

DEALER: What kind of Ford car?

CAFÉ: A blue Ka.

DEALER: Okay, we’re getting closer. Which model did you want?

CAFÉ: A Ka!

DEALER: A 500?

CAFÉ: No, just one of ‘em.

DEALER: Focus?

CAFÉ: I am focused! I want a new Ka!

DEALER: Tell me what you want!

CAFÉ: I want a blue Ka!

DEALER: I’m sorry, I’m just not following. Have you tried the Dodge dealer next door?

CAFÉ: They don’t sell Ka’s at the Dodge dealer!

DEALER: I seeeeeee. Okay, how about this. Why don’t you walk around our car lot and see if there’s anything that you like.

CAFÉ: Great idea! Where would I find the Ka’s?

DEALER: In the car lot.

CAFÉ: But where in the car lot?

DEALER: Right there. Our lot is right out that window. There’s a hundred cars right there. RIGHT FREAKIN’ THERE!

CAFÉ: I don’t see any Ka’s.

Ghetto Butterfly, it is a lease. We are here with Ford, and Ford Employees lease from Koeln. Hence, Koeln plates.

Ok, makes sense. Next question: I knew that you and Patrick are there because of Ford, but Köln is the Dearborn of Germany for Ford, how come you reside in the DaimlerChrysler/Mercedes land of Stuttgart?

SSport, please refrain from posting this video you mentioned. Please.
