You drive by it for years then one day you pass by and it is gone... Any memories? Who sees with equal eye, as God of all, A hero perish, or a sparrow fall, Atoms or systems into ruin hurl'd, And now a bubble burst, and now a world. |

Wow you would think in a day of declining revenues that park concessions would be the first thing saved in a park! |

Unfortunately, my only memory of it is how ugly and tacky it looked. |

Good ridance. I never saw it occupied, ever. This building disapearance act is getting rather common around the city Im often suprised when I see something go that Ive been seeing my whole life. |

The orginal concession stand was far simpler. A few years ago some got control and added all the googie-looking excess and gaudy paint job. They appear to have spent a lot of money then went belly up after one season. |

Yep, Gistok, Loiterway Refreshemnts have been gone since 2000 [demo pics on following page.] I would have thought that one should have been saved because the proximity of the big slide, playscape, conservatory and aquarium [then] as well as picnic grounds gave it steady business. Never understood that move. |
