I work in the Ford building, across Congress from the Buhl, and it was LOUD. I immediately thought of 9/11 because my office is on the 18th floor. I know, an overreaction, but when you're that high up........ |

Ron, have you considered joining the new Downtown YMCA. They have a 38 ft rock climbing wall. I realize that 18 floors is considerably higher; but still with some hard work and a lot of practice, scaling down 18 floors will not be all that out of your grasp. |

Yea 18 stories is about as high as it gets in downtown Detroit forget... Penobscot, Guardian, Comerica, old gas building (forgot the name), Millender Center, 1001 Woodward, Book Building/Tower, Cadillac Tower, CAY Municipal Center, Hotel Pontchartrain, Courtyard by Marriott, 7 towers of the Ren Cen and about 20 other buildings that I don't want to make the effort at this time to list |

Ok Ok I guess i'm a little off I would say the average height of the skyscrapers downtown is between 20-40 stories |
