Vote for Amos Williams!

A few weeks ago we took part in a commercial for Amos out on Belle Isle...it was fun to be on camera, and better yet, I got to know Amos better after talking with him for a while. Didn't get into any specifics regarding what his plans for the office are, but I know he won't be going after companies to stop same sex benefits or anything corney like that.

From the site:

About Amos Williams

Amos Williams grew up in Detroit, the eldest of 5 siblings. He graduated from Detroit Central High School in 1965 and went to work at Dodge Main in Hamatramck as a member of the United Auto Workers.

In February 1966 he joined the Army’s 101st Airborne Division and fought with them in Viet Nam during 1967 and 1968. Amos was decorated for Valor, a Bronze Star and Purple Hearts for wounds received in combat.

Amos returned home to Detroit in 1968 and within 30 days joined the Detroit Police Department. He was promoted to Sergeant then Lieutenant, and received a Department Citation for service. Amos graduated from the FBI National Academy in Quantico, VA in 1980, and completed his Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice in 1982 at Wayne State University.

In 1984, Amos had a surgical amputation of his right hand due to Agent Orange related cancer. He retired from the Detroit Police Department in 1985 and completed law school in 1986.

Since that time choosing to focus his practice on civil rights, employment discrimination, and combating insurance companies who unlawfully deny claims.

He is running for Attorney General because he wants to be in the forefront of advocating for people determined to take back their government. And to restore that government to where the interest of the people is paramount.
