It has come to my attention that 436 Detroit teachers have received layoff notices. Once again DPS students/parents are on the losing end. Promises of a better future made by politicians, preachers, teachers, and grass roots leaders. Yet our DPS education system as a whole continues to be sub-standard.
What the hell was the point in a strike? What kind of agreement was made? How did we get here, and who is going to be held accountable? Somebody must be held responsible. Enough is enough. When will the responsible adults in this city finally say "I am mad ass hell, and I am not going to take it anymore"
No agreement between DPS/teachers = students lose
DPS teachers strike = students lose
Students leave DPS = teachers lose = students lose

Everyone wants to say it’s all about the students; it is never about the students. Sad!
