Just for the hell of it, I jotted down all of the TV ads that aired during tonight's 11pm Channel 4 newscast, not including NBC promos:

Pro-Mike Cox ad (featuring shady-looking nursing home employee)
Anti-Granholm ad ("her failures are killing Michigan's future")
Pro-John Pappageorge ad ("Andy Levin is lying about my record")

Note, these are *all* of the ads shown during the 1/2 hour newscast... they were all political ads. The only one not directly related to next week's election was the Right to Life ad. |

I was surfing DYes anyway while watching the news... might as well do something productive. ;)
I did notice that when Saturday Night Live came on, the ads were more of a mix of about half political ads, half non-political. I guess it makes sense that they'd advertise more heavily during the news.
Slightly surprised that I didn't see any pro-Granholm ads during that 1/2 hour, but there are a decent amount of those airing. Also missed a few of my favorites such as the anti-Prop 3 ad... "Shooting doves is just target practice!" |
