They should have moved in here. Close one open another. Go figure. "A dungeon horrible, on all sides round, As one great furnace flamed; yet from those flames No light; but rather darkness visible" Milton Paradise Lost |

Lowell- I think they're trying to cure depression, not make people more depressed! |

They can throw all sorts of money at the problem and never solve it...I think it is merely a symptom of deeper ills, but not of the individual...rather of a hyper-society out-of-control and largely out-of-touch with the rhythms and cycles of life. Been cycling on and off depression overtly since 1998...and learned the greatest lesson of all. Don't fight the cycles...never wrestle with the waves as they crash. Follow the very first of the surfer's rule...never turn your back on the waves. When you get good at it, you learn to ride 'em...and it turns out to be wildly entertaining, with momentary lulls. MOST important thing we need to do with depression sufferers is eliminate any sort of stigma...there is as much shame in suffering depression as with catching a cold. I still cannot escape the fact the one of the richest men in Michigan who had some of the best healthcare available STILL could not win against his personality demons...Heinz Prechter. Great man. RIP, Heinz. Thanks for the memories. |

It's disappointing that U of M doesn't have a downtown Detroit presence. |

The U of M was one of the first in the trend of moving out of the city limits of Detroit back in the early 1800s |
