University Avenue would be the perfect street (avenue) to run a streetcar from downtown to the University/Old Sandwich especially if U of W eventually opens a downtown campus. If one set of tracks are still there....

From what I understood, most of the rails were removed in the late 30's when the city switched to busses.

The metal in the removed rails was donated to the war effort.

AIW, does Elm Street in 1913 have anything to do with either Henry Ford or the Dodges? It looks so Hamtramck or East Dearborn.

Wonderful intact street. jjaba likes the changes in the electric lines. Wow, a single strand in 1913 to that spider web now.
