You know it's funny. I know it's a "spoof" or whatever. But all those writers and media that hate on the D, keep hatin'. For one we are one of the great industral center of the USA. Interesting posts and article. My professor for Business Law yesterday was downing Detroit as if she knew what was going on in the city. I had to let her know she was no correct on her information she provided to students. We were discussing the foreclosure article and news report everyone saw and she just start going off. She said, "You see whats going on in Detroit, the city is ready to swell up for a riot and people are so poor there".Not everyone is poor in Detroit as I stated and some are well off. Now, I'm not going to just let her down Detroit like that, so I had to say to her that her information was incorrect because I am from Detroit and what you are saying is not correct.She was over exaggerating the report as if Detroit is going to start rioting soon and that the everyone is in poverty. Now here in Jackson, it's worst. I told her Detroit has much more to offer than it does here and that is the reason why I am going back home after I graduate. A lof of people really do hate on Detroit in general because they don't inform readers, listeners, citizens, the country, and the world about Detroit as a whole. Maybe its because we did help build the U.S. and they turned there backs on us. Or maybe its because when a woman has a hair style from early 95 rocking it down here is new to her but old to Detroiter's. I'm always one who is for Detroit no matter what. But if people are going to write articles on Detroit, then at least write from both sides. | ||

Be honest, wasn't the first riot celebrating a game win was the 84 World Series? I seem to remember buses and cop cars burning. Trainman was probably traumatized by it. The BUSES, THE BUSES! Detroit set the standard for the rest of the world. | ||
