I live in Hamtramck and I would like to see:

1. Residential streets paved with asphalt or concrete.

2. Less litter.

3. Continued emphasis on policing and business recruitment.

4. Tickets to property owners who abandon their property.

I agree with most of 1953. Very strict code enforcement would be nice. I also agree what abandoned property owners should be ticketed.

1953 and Steelworker,

Thanks for the comments.

My platform is to bring Hamtramck back to the "golden days", when it's streets where clean.

There is no reason why we can't enforce the city codes as far as blight is concerned.

My mother still talks about how her father would sweep the front porch every day then sweep the street in front of their house. In the summer, the front porch and sidewalk would be washed with a srub brush once a week.

Steelworker, you know Covey is running for Mayor? You onboard with that? I think he'd do a fine job.

Post Script,

To all Hamtramck voters,

Thanks to all who have voted for me for city council, as most know, I finished 9th out of 12.

I see it as not the end, but the start of a new chapter, a fresh start...

With that, I have thrown my support behind the candidate who best describes my platform, a woman who TRULY STANDS FOR HAMTRAMCK... Mrs. Cathie Ladzinski Gordon...
