Can anybody recommend a place to buy young coconuts? I hear they sell at Asian markets, but am not familiar with any in the area.

There is a Korean market at Nine Mile and Beech in Southfield, and a Japanese market on Lahser just north of 8 Mile also in Southfield, not sure if they have young coconuts, though. What are they used for?

I have bought coconut milk in cans at the market on Lahser, but I imagine fresh is a LOT better tasting. |

Yeah, you can get canned coconut milk just about anywhere, but I'm looking for raw and unprocessed young coconuts - not just the juice, but the meat too! |
