Oops, The Park Bar and Forans will be host bars for the Michigan Brewers Guild Pub Crawl that night, so it might be a bit crowded, but will have 26 Michigan Brews to choose from. If a different venue is suggested, that's good too. http://www.michiganbrewersguil d.org/mbgimages/MBG_Conference 2008.jpg |

Cliff Bells sounds good, I haven't been there in awhile. The Jesse Palter Quartet will be performing on Thursday. |

I like it, besides, I could just slip next door to check out the beer selection, as well. |

This would have been a fun gathering. Would love to hear Jesse Palter. But I'm staying home...still fighting the cough and cold that I came down with on New Year's Day. Have fun!! |

Sorry I missed y'all. I stopped into the 1923 Coffeehouse in Hamtown to see Audra Kubat start an Open Mic series...then we got into a conversation that lasted too late to see anyone at Cliff Bells. Is your secret still safe, Jams?! |

How many posts are required to get an invite to one of these meetings? I have some Detroit Scope magazines from the sixties, as well as a conservative Roseland Park neighborhood association newsletter from the fifties and a traffic safety newsletter from the same decade. Other than liveing in Flint for several years I lived in smaller communities, and found that city dwellers arent, generally speaking quite as trusting, helpful and friendly as small town dwellers, although there are many exceptions to the rule. Why not email and call many of the visitors of this site as a friendly reminder of forum nights? |

Just check here each week. We simply put out an open invitation and name a place, nothing more formal or organized than that. In the future, we'll try to make it a point to inform the bartender that we are there and to direct newcomers to us. |
