Detroit Guerrilla Queer Bar Invites You To Chops, Breasts and Thighs Carl’s Chop House 3020 Grand River Avenue Friday, January 25 2007 - 9:30pm Join us Friday night, January 25th, at 9:30pm as we say farewell to the Carl’s Chop House as we know it. The prestigious restaurant has been serving New York strip steaks for more than 75 years now. But pretty soon it may be serving up strippers instead. Newspapers broke the story on Wednesday that the owner recently applied for a topless permit and hopes that adding breasts and thighs to the menu will help attract more business. It may look like a dive on the outside, but the interior is like stepping in a time machine. Sure, there have been some modern updates but this place features plush red carpet, dark mahogany wooden booths, antique chandeliers, a grand piano and one large bar area. What a perfect place to have a Guerrillas event! So come out, bring all of your friends and have several drinks with us before all the meat in the joint is no longer on the plates and on the poles, instead. Carl’s is located on the corner of Grand River and The Lodge, right across the street from Motor City Casino. The entrance is located off the side street Hobson. Next door to the venue is a parking lot that is specifically reserved for valet. Unless you want to pay the $3.00, you can always park on the street. That’s what we do! Hope to see you there!
