I'm 25 and I grew up in primarily in the city, but I also spent time living elsewhere in metro Detroit. When I graduated from U-M, I left Michigan altogether. Nearly everyone I know in my age group did the same thing after graduating from college. |

I'm savoring the last 4 months of my 20's... Lived in 'the cabbage patch' of Grosse Pointe Park most of my life, then Corktown, now Ferndale. I loved living in the city, but now with small children we're more suited for the 'burbs |

I'm 25, grew up in Rochester, went to college in Charleston, SC, and now live in NYC. I hope to get some good experience here in the architecture field, and then move to Detroit when there is more of a need for architects. |

I am 26 years old (27 in July), and have never lived in Detroit. I grew up in Staten Island, NY, went to college in DC, law school in MA. Now I'm back in NYC, working as a lawyer in a big firm. I started looking at Lowell's tours back in college, and have been on the Forum a year and a half or so. My first (and only) visit to Detroit was in August 2006, when this Forum's Kathleen showed me around. Since then, my interest in the city has grown even more, and I can't wait to visit again! |

Hi Detroitstylin, My brother, who has an interest in urban things/decay found it when searching one day and showed it to me. I would guess he found it through a search engine. Lowell's tours were/are great, and when I came to the city, it was like seeing everything that I had looked at many times over online, so it was really fascinating to me. I really love threads with aerial pictures, and maps, and such, because they allow me to learn more about the geography of the city, and feel like I "know" the city at least a little, despite having only visited once. |
