Inthewoods. I have seen the Reminisce magazine and think others on this site might enjoy it, especially about the old toys. I guess you did not graduate from HS?? No one is vicariously living the days over we are conversing about where we went to school. Members here are from all over the US and it is interesting to see all the different schools and graduating years. So don't bother to read this subject if it doesn't interest you. Thanks everyone. Ok, Ok, I don't feel so bad now but geez, I had my 30th reunion last year. There's a place on 7 & Mack called The Pointe After. It's next to the Coney Island. They sell "throwback" school t-shirts. If they don't have it, they'll make them for you. There website is the same as the name .com. My better half just bought me one yesterday. Pgn, any fond memories of BG or should that be on another thread? |

Let's see...in 1954 when I graduated from Mackenzie.....that was the year the French surrendered in French Indo-China, aka Vietnam. On the other hand, I think the French surrendered something in every year of my life. Apologies to any lurking Francophiles. |

Douglasm, back in'54 when we(Birmingham High) played Ferndale High, I believe it was called Lincoln High. And they were called The Railsplitters. The school was located on 9 Mile road, West of Woodward. Can you confirm that? Bham and LIncoln, Hazel Park, Port Huron were all part of the EML (Eastern Michigan League, as I recall. |

The Rock - I can confirm this one for you. Ferndale HS opened in 1957 (?), Lincoln became a Jr. HS until the late 70's when it was torn down and a grocery store was built. |

I just browsed this post tonight. I think there is a good chance that I could be the "President Emeritus" of OLD High School graduates. St. Joseph's High School 1946. (Like in the last Century.) |

Denby night school '83, I was supposed to graduate in '74 but quit attending at age 17 for 9 years because of my being offered and accepting what was an excellent career employment opportunity at the time. (not related to the auto companies, public service, or military) |
