The ***** was *******. How did it get changed? Must be because mentioning where someone lives isn't allowed on the forum. douglasm came out fine. Had 135 mph gusts at the top of Mission Ridge and 8" of Cascade concrete here in the Wenatchee Valley, but no power outages. Guess Seattle still has 400,000 without power. Assume you heard about finding the 1 body on Mt. Hood..... |

I've been watching the Mount Hood story unfold this week as one of the climbers is a friend of a coworker. Terribly sad to hear the news of the one body found this evening. Keep praying and hoping for the best for the other two men. |

When on the Eastside, dine at Sam & Ella's Cafe. Has Itsjeff been there? *******Hilton/Towers has closed Alexander's on the 23rd Floor where they had good jazz jams with jjaba's friend Ron Steen. Itsjeff will have to cruise elsewhere. jjaba on the Westside. |

Kathleen---Prayers and hopes are with those climbers. And you just can't say enough for those engaged in the rescue operations. Talk about determination and dedication. It's as if all those envolved in the rescue are family members of those who are lost. It's just amazing how all those folks have come together. It reminds me of miners who are often trapped in mining disasters and the world awaits 'til they are rescued. |

Kathleen.... ....rescuers have not identified (or at least released the name of) the climber found yesterday afternoon. The body was found at the 11,000 foot level of the mountain. You can follow the story at www.seattlepi.com . That's the home page for the paper, but rest assured the story will be at or near the top. The Rock is right as always concerning the rescuers. Mountain rescue common around here, and these folks take it as a personal defeat if they are not sucuessful...... |
