I was just thinking today after hearing a report about Detroit's stolen copper export industry- is Detroit the New Copper Country of Michigan? Detroit must export more copper than the U.P. now, any figures? If only the scenery was as nice as the Keweenaw I'd probably move into the city!!! |

How high does the price for scrap copper have to rise before its worth while for the mines in upper Michigan to re-open?
