For those who are interested or are in a spot where they can see the river, Tall Ship Denis Sullivan, on her way to Alpena, MI, will be passing by Downtown Detroit in the next half hour or so upbound. She was abeam of Zug Island around 10:15, & it looks like she’s in full sail – very unusual for a river transit. |

Thanks for the heads up! I just told my wife, she is taking our son down to the GPP Park to see it. It should pass there ina bout an hour or so. If she gets a good pic, I'll post it here. |

She went by the tunnel entrance with three sails furled at 10:58. I’d post photos, but I don’t have the software to reduce them appropriately for posting. |

From the Dossin Webcam, you also should have also been able to see the Diamond Queen - I think we passed the Denis Sullivan somewhere around that part of the River today (Message edited by busterwmu on May 23, 2007) |
