I have been doing some research on various architects and I keep running into the McKerchey Building. Many architects were located here including Richard Marr and Marcus Burrowes. The address is/was 2637 Woodward. So, was this building renamed or torn down? Marr and Burrowes were both in the Archiect's Building at 415 Brainard about 7 years later.

2631 Woodward, between Sibley & Sproat. Long gone.

I recall the KEUFFEL & ESSER COMPANY store on Woodward by WSU. Detroit must have been a major market for their drafting products. All the way until CAD came about.
